Joseph Haulage Canada Corp Hosts Appreciation Lunch for DFA Employees!

 

Joseph Haulage Canada Corp., a trucking company and  third party vendor for Dufferin Aggregates recently honored DFA’s Flamboro Quarry employees and Logistics Team with an appreciation lunch.

With their portable BBQ trailer in tow, the Joseph Haulage team cooked up a delicious lunch to thank them for their continued support and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

It’s always wonderful to see that the dedication of our employees is appreciated by our customers, shareholders, and communities. Kudos to the Flamboro and Logistics teams!

Back to School Fundraiser

Just in time for back to school, Dufferin Aggregates Logistics Team hosted a fundraising event on behalf of the Links2Care foundation.
The team collected various back to school supplies, gift cards and cash in support of the local youth in the Halton Community.
Sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to collecting a generous number of supplies which will go a long way in supporting the students within our community.

Dufferin Aggregates Logistics team expressed their appreciation and gratitude towards the dedicated truck drivers in the aggregate industry by organizing a Trucker Appreciation BBQ at the Flamboro Quarry. Thank you to our valued business partners for their continued hard work and commitment.

SEE STOP DO DAY

At Dufferin Aggregates, the safety of our people is always our priority.
As part of our efforts to build a leading safety culture, we have been designating one day each month as ‘SEE STOP DO Day’. On this dedicated day, employees are encouraged to make their best effort in freeing their schedules from meetings, calls, and other obligations to focus solely on putting safety first and re-committing themselves to our safety pledge “When I SEE Something, I Will STOP and DO Something”

During our most recent See Stop Do Day, our Commercial Team embarked on a visit to the Mosport Pit and Flamboro Quarry to celebrate the Operation Teams for their dedication and commitment to safety.

At the Flamboro Quarry, our Commercial Team greeted the employees with coffee and donuts, aiming to uplift and recognize their hardwork and efforts. Meanwhile, during their visit to the Mosport Pit, the Team showed their gratitude by assisting in preparing a BBQ Lunch for the employees at the site.

Planting Event at Dufferin Aggregates’ Paris Pit!

Dufferin Aggregates recently hosted the U13 boys and U16 girls Paris Soccer Club at their Paris Pit for a planting event.

The two teams planted 225 common milkweed plants as part of an initiative to create a habitat for Monarch butterflies, which is a species at risk. The common milkweed is the only plant that Monarch caterpillars eat, so planting milkweed is an essential role in supporting the life cycle of this species at risk. This milkweed patch has been added to larger biodiverse area at the Paris Pit which includes grassland and wildflower/pollinator plants and is home to other species at risk including Least Bittern (Ixobrychus exilis) and Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica).
